The Granary is a cosy cottage for two in a beautiful hamlet that is part of the North Devon AONB. The stunning beach of Welcombe Mouth is within walking distance, starting from the public footpath at the bottom of the garden. Tucked behind Linton farmhouse, overlooking farmland, with distant sea views it is a great place for walking, surfing, mountain biking or just relaxing and watching the magnificent sunsets and amazing starry skies free from any light pollution.

Linton Farm sets the gold standard for AirBnB stays. From the crockery to the bedding, everything was deluxe and helped contribute to a delightful week in this most beautiful corner of Devon.

This is a very charming little cottage, with everything you need to make your stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible. We particulary enjoyed the wood-burner in the evenings after long days spent out walking. It’s an amazing location with incredible scenery all along the South West coastal path. Its quite remote, but thats what makes it so special. (But there is an excellent pub close by…) The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and we even had scones, cream, jam, bread and milk waiting for us when we arrived! Highly recommended!!!

This is our 4th visit to the Granary and we’re already planning our 5th. Beautiful place to stay, very well equipped and in a peaceful environment away from more touristy areas. A lovely place to visit the beach, walk the fields to the pub, and return to a cosy evening in front of the wood burner. As ever, our hosts were welcoming, hospitable and friendly. Thank you for sharing your lovely property x

Enjoyable and very relaxing place to come down and find beauty in the close nature or attractions in Clovelly, Boscastle, Tintagel or Bude. We loved the well collected interieur, cosy fireplace, watching birds and opportunity to yoga outside being on your own. Hosts been very welcome and open offering scones at our arrival with some good hints for our trips in the neighborhood. In the “Old Smithy’s Inn“ we had the chance to have a very delicious salad with figs from Paul’s garden. We highly recommend the “Granary” and would come back by any next chance. Sonja & Michael

A very peaceful, private and well-equipped cottage – wish we could have stayed longer. Clearly a lot of thought had been put into the conversion from a former granary, and it was all impeccably clean. Hosts friendly and very helpful, and nice things to eat on arrival! The area is quiet and secluded, but within easy reach of good beaches and excellent walking. Thoroughly recommended.

Myself and my partner, Isaac spent a magical two weeks at The Granary. We absolutely loved the cottage, which is incredibly well kitted out with everything you can possibly need in the kitchen and beyond. The bath is amazing, so huge and we had many wonderful soaks in it. We found the washing machine super helpful given our many days on the beach which created a fair bit of washing ⛱ Even though the location of The Granary is quite far from towns we loved it and found that the journey of 25 mins to Bude past quickly. We also enjoyed being close to lots of wonderful beaches, our favourite was Sandymouth which has a great cafe with fantastic view. We also loved our trip to Hartland Quay. Paul was so kind to let us know what was going on in the area and we very much enjoyed Bush Fest at the Bush Inn, Hartland Farmers Market and the folk night at The Old Smithy (great pub with great food and only few mins drive or 15 min walk). Many Thanks to Paul, Maria and Karen for a special stay at your place ❤ we will be back 🙂

Perfect stay. The best Air BnB we have ever stayed in – absolutely lovely. A quiet and tranquil spot but also equally enjoyable to be indoors on a rainy day. Home away from home.

We had a lovely stay in the Granary. It is a very good equipped house, enough space to stay there for a longer time. The house exudes a cozy atmosphere. The communication was perfect, Karen, Paul and Maria are very friendly and helpful hosts.

The Granary is a real find and we can t recommend it highly enough. We have been visiting the Welcome area for 30 years and we can safely say that for a couple, it is far and away our favourite accommodation. The location is excellent and we especially enjoyed the outside living space, where there was even a hammock. The Granary is lovely and private, though the hosts are extremely friendly and on hand if needed. The peace and quiet is amazing, with birdsong the only sound to be heard. Inside it is spacious, spotlessly clean, stylish and very well equipped. We’ll be back!

We arrived at Granary a little stressed but found the tranquility soon restored our equilibrium. Watching the birds gathers around the bird feeder including a Woodpecker was a joy. There were plenty of maps to help navigate around the beautiful North Devon countryside and we enjoyed the easy walk to the pub. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the near future.

We had an incredible stay at the Granary – it is just gorgeous. All the spaces are beautifully decorated with everything so well thought through. We loved the mezzanine level sitting room, with the cosy log fire and board games – perfect for a quiet afternoon relaxing when it tipped down with rain! Before the rain came, the terrace outside was perfect for some morning yoga in the sunshine – and feels very private, with just the sheep and the birds for company. The kitchen was very well equipped for self catering, and we enjoyed the fresh bread and scones left by the hosts (thank you!) A perfect weekend getaway in peaceful surroundings – we hope to come back again!

The Granary is such a beautiful property in an enchanting location. It was our favourite place of our 2 week trip to Devon and Cornwall. So much attention to detail is evident in the property, from the lovely bedlinen, gorgeous furnishings and decor to things like a flask being available in the kitchen for your picnics! The photos are great, but it’s even better in situ. The bird feeder was a lovely touch and we saw a woodpecker most days along with goldfinches, blue tits, robins and chaffinches. Highly recommended and we’d love to return!

This is a lovely little cottage in a peaceful location. Lovely walks straight from the door. Comfortable, well equipped and with the added bonus of being able to watch the birds on the feeder whilst eating breakfast. Hosts are there to welcome you and give a few local tips, but leave you to it after that, which was perfect for me. The cream tea welcome was an absolute treat!

A beautiful location, ideal for coast walks, swimming at Welcombe, Clovelly, Hartland, Bucks Mills and more. The accommodation was lovely and the welcome from Karen could not have been better, fresh bread and scones on arrival, spotlessly clean, comfortable and full of character. Thank you very much, it was a lovely stay.

We had a great stay at the granary. Lovely quiet location 15 minutes walk from the pub and 30 mins from an amazing coastline. It’s a lovely area for walking. The granary has a very well equipped kitchen and had everything we needed.

We had the most lovely stay here. My husband and I agreed that the photos barely do the place justice – it’s a beautifully kept place, and we particularly appreciated all the little extras, like how well stocked the kitchen was and the outdoor fire pit and hammock on offer (even if it was too chilly for us to use!). The indoor fire was lovely too, and the large bathtub very relaxing. We loved the bread and scones left for us on arrival too. Thank you all for a lovely stay, we certainly hope to come back!

My wife and I had a gorgeous few days at The Granary. The place is great! It was really clean, very cosy and had everything we needed. There was fresh bread, delicious homemade scones with jam and cream when we arrived to make the welcome extra special. The location was perfect for us. The Granary is about a 10 minute country walk to the Old Smithy pub and 25 minutes to the beach, the picturesque Marsland Valley is also well worth walking if you get chance. We walked a good section of the coastland walk, looping back inland, passing through a couple of pubs and finishing off the day with a long soak in the massive bath tub. Pure bliss. Thanks to Karen for having us. We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at the Granary, which was so comfortable and well equipped. It was great to have the coast and local pub within walking distance, and then to have the woodburning stove to come back to in the evening. The peace and quiet was lovely, and the night skies were beautiful. It felt like a real home-from-home, and we couldn’t have asked for more. Karen and Paul are also great hosts: very responsive and easy to deal with, and lots of nice touches to make us feel welcome during our stay. The freshly made scones and bread were a particular treat! We feel refreshed and relaxed after our week, and we look forward to hopefully visiting again very soon.

We booked The Granary last minute and had a lovely few days visiting friends nearby in each direction. The cottage is perfect, we would love to stay there again in the summer. The kitchen was the best equipped we have ever had in a self catering place! The loaf of bread, scones, jam and cream that greeted us in the cottage were delicious! Tea, coffee, sugar and milk also supplied. The log burner was brilliant. We did two early morning walks to the coast along the footpaths from the cottage. A great place to stay!

A perfect place for a peaceful, relaxing break. Everything, from the kitchen utensils to the furniture, seemed to have been chosen with care and thought, which made the Granary feel really homely and comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful area with lots of walking from the doorstep and further afield. Host Paul came to welcome us when we arrived in the dark and fresh bread and scones were also waiting for us which was delightful. We loved the decor, the luxurious bath, massive bed, opportunity for outdoor meals and sunbathing/stargazing when the weather permitted, cosy lounge with woodburner and thoughtful selection of books, games, walking maps etc. We absolutely recommend staying here and we hope to return!

A fabulous place to stay. Karen, Maria and Paul are generous thoughtful hosts, the Granary is comfortable, cosy, very well equipped, and well located for walks in the cliff tops down to the beach, and to the local pub too. Quiet location, perfect for nature lovers and walkers. Looking forward to another visit very soon.

A cute place with all you need. Do check out the ease and proximity to the coast for your needs as for us it was quite a trek and the roads not great for our vehicle. We found this quite a disappointing element to our stay and wished we’d better researched. Very quiet and rural with little noise. Great wifi if you wanted to work from here.

We thought this overall the best airbnb we’d stayed at and we’ve stayed at a good many. The lovely upstairs sitting room, on top of the really roomy, super well equipped and well presented lower floor, was a bonus. Just everything is so well done. Money has been spent here to ensure any stay is memorable.

Lovely accommodation in a peaceful rural setting. The Granary is furnished and equipped to a high standard. There are beautiful woodland walks from the doorstep and down to the coast (thank you Paul for the local tips). We enjoyed having breakfast on the patio or sitting there in the afternoon/evening – the birds on the feeders provided constant entertainment. Would highly recommend The Granary.

5 Sep – 12 Sep 2021

Just had a lovely week stay at The Granary. If you’re looking for somewhere to get away from it all with great scenery on the doorstep, this place is for you! The kitchen (and property in general) is really well-equipped. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a hammock! The private garden is a great size and gets the sun for alfresco dining. It was lovely to watch the birds on the feeders in the morning when having breakfast. The coast and local beach is within walking distance or there is a small car park at the beach (down quite a bumpy road!) but this can fill up quickly. Within an hours drive are some of the best sights in North Devon/Cornwall, Tintagel Castle, Boscastle, Clovelly etc. We can highly recommend the Cornish pasties at Boscastle Farm Shop Cafe. The Old Smithy Inn in Welcombe (within walking distance of the Granary) is also nice for a bite to eat and has a large garden with covered dining pods – just remember to take a torch for the walk back! Thanks Karen, Paul and Maria for a great stay!

Looking for blue skies!

With the Christmas decorations all packed away, we’re consoling ourselves by eating the last of the mince pies and Christmas biscuits, having first blown the winter blues away by walking in and around Welcombe…

There’s nothing like a glimpse of the sea and a bracing breeze to help lift your spirits, and if there’s a spot of blue sky too, then the thought that spring is coming and the days are lengthening doesn’t seem so much of a leap of faith!
